God will certainly get our attention when He puts some things on hold or delay.  For some people, being in the wilderness is a place of warfare because of all the hurt and pain. They foolishly believe they are not supposed to suffer.  Conversely, for others, the wilderness is a place of resignation; they expect, accept and endure pain, suffering, and unfulfilled dreams. They understand this is God’s plan for them and will lead them to a place of provision.

Concentrating on God’s “No” restricts our vision, causing us to forget or overlook all the good He has done and given us. These are the things we often take for granted such as life, breath, and health. We must get to know him in our wilderness and realize that we are his sons and daughters. Our roles or status may change, but our identity in him will remain forever.  Not only does the wilderness bring about transition and maturity through our suffering, but it also brings about a new mission, new beginning. Amen.
